Coinbase CEO: AI Agents Will Keep Growing, Stablecoins Could Become Their Preferred Payment Rail

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said in a post on September 25 that the number of AI agents will keep growing, along with the number of agents needing to make payments and transactions. Armstrong said that as more AI agents autonomously complete transactions, crypto and stablecoins will become their preferred payment rail. BlackRock has previously said AI agents could become a major source of stablecoin demand.
