KelpDAO Files Lawsuit Against LayerZero and CEO Over $292M Hack

KelpDAO has officially sued cross-chain protocol LayerZero and its CEO, Bryan Pellegrino, in the Supreme Court of British Columbia regarding the $292 million rsETH hack from April 2026. KelpDAO alleges that LayerZero's infrastructure was insecure and failed to disclose risks, while LayerZero contends that KelpDAO manually downgraded its security configuration to a vulnerable 1-of-1 DVN setup. KelpDAO has since migrated its infrastructure to Chainlink CCIP, and CEO Bryan Pellegrino has dismissed the lawsuit as meritless.
