Bitget Hot and Cold Wallets Hit in Suspected $180 Million Hack

Crypto exchange Bitget appears to have suffered a significant wallet breach on Thursday afternoon. Between 2:31 p.m. and 4:55 p.m. ET, over $180 million was moved from wallets labeled as Bitget to a new address, now tagged as 'Bitget Exploiter 1' on Etherscan. The stolen assets include USDT, USDC, XAUT, ETH, and AVAX, with some funds bridged across networks like Arbitrum and BNB Chain. Additionally, approximately $143 million in XRP was transferred from wallets labeled as Bitget. As of 5 p.m. ET, the exchange had not provided a public statement, and users reported that withdrawals were stuck in review.
