Former Hack VC Partner Hsin-Ju Chuang Found Dead in Mojave Desert

Hsin-Ju Chuang, a former partner at crypto venture firm Hack VC, was found dead in her vehicle in the Mojave Desert on August 24 at age 37. The cause of death remains under investigation by the San Bernardino County coroner. One day prior to her discovery, Chuang posted a detailed statement on X alleging that she was forced to work while suffering from severe illness and was threatened with industry blacklisting by Hack VC partners Alex Pack and Daniel Bulaevsky when she attempted to resign. Hack VC acknowledged the allegations but stated that their understanding of the events differs significantly from Chuang's account.
