OpenAI Claims New Model Solved Over 100 Mathematical Problems, Forms Advisory Group

OpenAI announced that an internal model, under training since August 28, has solved more than 100 long-standing mathematical problems. The company also established an independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and AI (AGMAI) based at the Institute for Advanced Study. While the group will provide advice and evaluate research, OpenAI clarified that the advisors have no decision-making power over the company's development pace or research strategy.
