The API input and output prices for both models have been reduced by 50% compared to the promotional pricing of GPT-5.6. OpenAI stated that the cost reduction was achieved through improvements in caching and inference infrastructure. The models are now available via the OpenAI API and are being rolled out to ChatGPT Work and Codex users, with Luna also accessible to desktop Free and Go users.
