Sam Altman and Dario Amodei to Brief UN Security Council on AI Risks

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei are set to attend a high-level UN Security Council meeting on September 23 to brief members on the international security risks posed by AI. The session, led by France, will also include Hugging Face CEO Clément Delangue and Yoshua Bengio, vice-chair of the UN AI advisory body. Representatives from Chinese AI firms DeepSeek and Moonshot have also been invited to participate.
