Diogo Almeida discusses the vision behind Jev

Diogo Almeida, a former OpenAI researcher and co-founder of TypeSafe, has launched Jev, an AI model focused on decision-making rather than text generation. Unlike traditional models optimized via RLHF for human preference, Jev uses RLCD to output choices, probabilities, and confidence levels. TypeSafe recently emerged from stealth with $40 million in seed funding led by DCVC. The model represents a shift toward automation over human-in-the-loop assistance.
