Cardano joins x402 ecosystem to enable automated AI agent payments with ADA

Cardano has officially integrated with the x402 software suite, allowing AI agents and applications to process on-chain payments using ADA. The x402 standard, supported by organizations including the Linux Foundation, Visa, and Google, reactivates the HTTP 402 Payment Required status code to embed payment flows directly into network requests. While Cardano has completed the necessary client and server-side software, the implementation is currently in a pre-production phase and has not yet been deployed on the mainnet for commercial use.
