DeepSeek Appoints Yan Wentao as First CFO

According to a report by Zero2IPO, Yan Wentao has officially joined DeepSeek as its first CFO. Born in 1991 and a graduate of Fudan University, Yan previously worked at Hillhouse Capital and was involved in projects including MiniMax, Zhipu AI, and ByteDance. DeepSeek is currently finalizing a second funding round aiming to raise 50 billion yuan at a pre-money valuation of 500 billion yuan, while also engaging CITIC Securities to prepare for a potential IPO on the STAR Market (Shanghai).
