Ondo Finance launches in-kind conversion system for tokenized assets

Ondo Finance (Ondo Finance) has introduced an in-kind conversion system allowing eligible institutional clients to convert stocks and ETFs directly into tokenized shares, or vice versa. This new mechanism enables approved institutions to transfer securities from Alpaca accounts to Ondo for on-chain minting, eliminating the need for additional cash to create tokenized inventory. The feature, which aims to reduce financing costs and time mismatches, is currently available on Ethereum and BNB Chain for approved institutional accounts.
