X has introduced a 'Trade' button for financial cashtags, allowing US users to be routed to partner platforms including Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Interactive Brokers, and Moomoo. When users tap a cashtag like $BTC, they are directed to the partner's app or website to execute trades. X does not handle order placement or custody. The program aims to bridge the gap between financial conversations on the platform and market execution, building on X's previous integration of live price charts and real-time data.
