Spaces Launches Trust Anchor for Bitcoin-Based Identity Verification

Spaces has introduced 'Trust Anchor,' a solution that enables applications to verify human-readable identities directly on the Bitcoin blockchain without relying on centralized servers. Users can generate a unique Trust ID, derived from the Bitcoin block header chain and the Spaces cumulative state, to authenticate identities such as alice@bitcoin. The Veritas application on macOS allows for local ID generation without requiring a full Bitcoin node, though users may connect their own nodes or use the Spaces client. This initiative aims to utilize Bitcoin as a decentralized certificate authority.
