US retail diesel prices have surpassed $6.50 per gallon for the first time, driven by ongoing geopolitical conflicts. According to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA), the national average reached $6.505 per gallon as of Saturday. Prices have risen by over 87 cents in September alone, exceeding the previous peak set in 2022.
