TSMC's A14 Fab Expansion in Central Taiwan to Complete by Q2 2028

TSMC (台积电) is accelerating the construction of four 1.4nm (A14) wafer fabs in Central Taiwan. As of early September 2026, the P1 plant is on track for completion in April 2027, with equipment installation and trial production to follow. The P2 plant is advancing in parallel, with mass production readiness expected by the end of 2027. All four A14 fabs are projected to be completed and operational by the second quarter of 2028, serving major clients including Apple, NVIDIA (NVDA), AMD, Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Broadcom. The facility is estimated to reach a monthly capacity of 120,000 to 160,000 12-inch wafers, potentially contributing $45 billion to $52 billion to TSMC's annual revenue.
