X sues users over $277,000 creator fund fraud involving Bitcoin bot farm

X has filed a lawsuit in London against two individuals, Vivek Kumar Sen and Zmyang Sherpa, for allegedly operating a network of nine fake Bitcoin news accounts. The defendants are accused of using coordinated posting and engagement tactics to defraud X's creator fund of at least £207,000 (approximately $277,000). The accounts, which included handles like @Bitcoin_Teddy and @MrSuperBitcoin, spread false information about major financial institutions to drive engagement. X discovered the scheme after identifying discrepancies in Stripe payment information and shared device usage, leading the platform to terminate the accounts and pursue legal action.
