Ripple: Asset Managers Prepare for XRPL Batch V1.1 Payment Upgrade

Ripple announced that various asset management firms and commercial projects are preparing for the upcoming Batch V1.1 upgrade on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). According to RippleX engineering lead Ayo Akinyele, the feature enables the bundling of up to eight transactions into a single atomic operation, ensuring that all transactions either succeed or fail together. This mechanism is designed to support delivery-versus-payment scenarios and streamline processes for exchanges and wallets. The upgrade, which underwent security reviews to address previous flaws, is expected to activate shortly after September 29, provided it maintains over 80% support from validators during the 14-day voting window that began on September 15.
