Polygon Prepares Permissionless Burn of 100 Million POL

Polygon is developing a permissionless contract that will allow for the permanent burning of 100 million POL tokens. This amount represents approximately 83% of the base-fee collector, which currently holds 121 million tokens according to Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal. The contracts are currently on the testnet and are scheduled to move to the mainnet following final testing.
