Circle launches Arc mainnet to enhance USDC utility

Circle has launched the public mainnet for Arc, a layer-1 blockchain designed to streamline stablecoin transactions. The network allows users to pay transaction fees using USDC, eliminating the need for separate native tokens. The platform is EVM-compatible and aims to provide sub-second transaction finality. Following a private phase with over 100 institutional participants, the public network is now open for broader commercial testing.
