Ripple, SBI, and Kyobo complete Japan-Korea stablecoin transfer pilot

Ripple, SBI Group, and Kyobo Life Insurance have successfully completed a proof-of-concept project for cross-border stablecoin transfers between Japan and South Korea. The pilot enabled direct transfers between Japanese yen and Korean won stablecoins, bypassing the need for the US dollar as an intermediary currency.
