Kraken Parent Company Plans US Access to Hyperliquid Markets

Payward, the parent company of Kraken, intends to offer onchain perpetual futures to US clients by leveraging the Hyperliquid HIP-3 framework. The initiative utilizes Bitnomial, a CFTC-regulated exchange acquired by Payward, to deploy and clear the markets, with NinjaTrader Clearing handling account onboarding. While Hyperliquid is a leading onchain derivatives venue, it currently lacks US access. The proposal, which follows President Trump's comments regarding a compliant path for such exchanges, still requires regulatory approval and lacks a confirmed launch date.
