Celsius sues BitMEX over alleged wrongful liquidation of 6,360 BTC

Bankrupt lender Celsius has filed a lawsuit against five entities linked to BitMEX, seeking the recovery of 6,360.16 BTC or its equivalent value of approximately $486 million. The lawsuit alleges that BitMEX wrongfully liquidated positions during the market crash in March 2020, claiming the exchange manipulated liquidation prices and executed orders at levels significantly below market rates. Celsius also cites technical failures and DDoS attacks on the platform during that period as contributing factors. The legal action comes shortly before BitMEX's planned cessation of services.
