Zcash community votes to support 25-second block times and halving schedule for NU7 upgrade

The Zcash (ZEC) community has released the results of the NU7 coin holder vote, which concluded on September 14. Participants voted in favor of reducing block generation time from 75 seconds to 25 seconds and maintaining the current halving schedule. The vote, conducted by Valar Group and Project Tachyon, also saw support for disabling v4 transactions upon the activation of NU7 and setting the recirculation of ZEC excluded by the Network Sustainability Mechanism to begin in February 2031.
