Ethlabs Researcher: Ethereum and Base Account Abstraction Collaboration Ends

Ethlabs researcher Derek Chiang reported that the collaboration between Ethereum (ETH) and Base regarding account abstraction standards EIP-8130 and EIP-8141 has ended. Both parties will now pursue different standards as their priorities diverge, with Ethereum focusing on censorship resistance and security, while Base prioritizes scalability and customization. Chiang suggested that while a unified standard would have been ideal, the industry may need to focus on building wallets and applications capable of abstracting these underlying differences.
