Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Discuss Forming AI Industry Standards Body

Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google are in discussions to establish an industry standards organization for artificial intelligence. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has advocated for AI companies to coordinate on technical testing and auditing. OpenAI founder Sam Altman expressed support for such an organization, suggesting that major AI labs should lead the formation of these standards rather than relying on the U.S. government.
