Symbiosis Recovers 15 BTC from Bridge Exploit, Offers 20% Bounty for Leads

Cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis has recovered 15 BTC, worth approximately $1.1 million, following a bridge exploit that occurred last Friday. The attacker previously minted 46.1 billion uncollateralized tokens, netting 4.3 WBTC (about $336,000). After the attacker ignored a 20% white-hat bounty offer, Symbiosis has now extended the 20% bounty to anyone providing information leading to the recovery of the remaining assets. The protocol plans to announce a compensation plan for affected liquidity providers, while the Bitcoin bridge remains paused.
