Coinbase Rebrands Base App to Coinbase Wallet, Pivoting to On-Chain Financial Super App

Coinbase has rebranded its 'Base App' back to 'Coinbase Wallet,' abandoning its previous social-focused strategy after CEO Brian Armstrong admitted the experiment failed to gain traction. The new product strategy focuses on 'reaching more' by integrating over 10 networks, including Base, Robinhood Chain, Monad, Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Avalanche. The wallet now supports perpetual futures via Hyperliquid, prediction markets, and tokenized stocks.
