Circle acquires TazaPay to strengthen payment infrastructure

Circle is acquiring the Asian payments platform TazaPay for $400 million in stock. The deal provides Circle with direct control over payment rails connecting stablecoins to local financial systems, including access to over 60 banking and fintech partners and payout capabilities in more than 100 markets. Approximately 60% of TazaPay's transaction volume already involves stablecoins.
