Germany's Finance Ministry has drafted a proposal to implement a 25% flat tax on cryptocurrency gains starting in 2028, according to a report by Die Welt. The new regime would apply to assets acquired from January 1, 2027, potentially ending the current policy that allows individuals to sell crypto tax-free after holding it for more than 12 months.
