Coinbase Rebrands Base App Back to Coinbase Wallet

Coinbase has renamed its Base App back to Coinbase Wallet, reversing a decision made a year ago to refocus the self-custody application on trading and multi-chain access. Product lead Ryan Kass stated the wallet will serve as an experimental hub for products and assets not yet available on the centralized exchange, starting with Hyperliquid-supported perpetual futures. The platform supports long-tail assets, prediction markets, and tokenized stocks, with a focus on non-KYC, borderless trading.
