Cross-chain protocol Symbiosis suffers exploit on BNB Smart Chain

Cross-chain protocol Symbiosis is currently under attack on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC), according to Web3 security firm Blockaid. The attacker exploited signed BridgeV2 receive operations to mint approximately 2^62 units of syBTC to a new address, which has a nominal value of roughly $46.1 billion based on 8 decimal places. The same beneficiary address subsequently sold about 4.39 WBTC on Uniswap V4 on Ethereum, realizing approximately $336,000 in gains.
