Grayscale: Zcash Mining Profitability Outperforms Bitcoin with Over 2.5x Hashrate Growth

Grayscale Research Director Zach Pandl reported that Zcash mining currently offers higher profitability per unit than Bitcoin. While Bitcoin's daily network rewards are significantly larger, Zcash provides approximately double the daily revenue per mining rig and four times the revenue per megawatt-hour compared to Bitcoin, even exceeding some AI and high-performance computing cloud services. Driven by strong price performance, Zcash's network has seen over 2.5 times growth in mining activity this year, creating a positive feedback loop between price, mining, and network security. Pandl suggests that Zcash mining remains attractive at current valuations.
