Stakefish founder Chun Wang responds to lawsuit regarding MEV rewards

Chun Wang, co-founder of F2Pool and founder of Stakefish (stakefish), addressed a lawsuit filed by Oleksii Trofimchuk in the Santa Clara County Superior Court against Lido Finance and Stakefish. The plaintiff alleges that MEV bots claimed ETH from his wallet after it was compromised. Wang stated that Stakefish, as a validator, only processes transactions according to Ethereum protocol rules and cannot adjudicate off-chain ownership claims. He warned that requiring validators to recover rewards based on off-chain disputes would set a dangerous precedent, threaten the decentralization of Ethereum, and create legal uncertainty for staking rewards.
