Hargreaves Lansdown Launches Crypto ETN Access for U.K. Clients

Hargreaves Lansdown, the largest retail investment platform in the U.K., has started offering eligible clients access to Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded notes (ETNs). The platform has listed 9 crypto ETNs from issuers including BlackRock, WisdomTree, 21Shares, Invesco, CoinShares, and Bitwise, with management fees ranging from 0% to 0.35%. This move represents a major strategic shift for the firm, which had previously cautioned investors against the risks associated with cryptocurrency.
