Pentagon Reaffirms Restrictions on Anthropic

The U.S. Department of Defense stated that restrictions on Anthropic remain in effect, contradicting claims by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick that the dispute had been resolved. Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Emil Michael confirmed that Anthropic is still classified as a supply chain risk by the Pentagon and the defense industrial base. Anthropic had previously faced limitations due to government concerns regarding the potential misuse of its models for cyberattacks.
