Saint Seiya Creator Masami Kurumada Reports 4.6 Billion Yen Embezzlement

Renowned Japanese manga artist Masami Kurumada, creator of Saint Seiya, revealed in a press conference that three of his companies were defrauded of approximately 4.6 billion yen over six years. A former executive allegedly diverted funds and licensing fees into personal accounts between 2018 and 2024. A portion of the embezzled capital was reportedly invested in crypto assets. Kurumada's companies have filed a lawsuit in the Tokyo District Court against seven individuals and four companies to recover the losses.
