Analyst: 2-3% of BlackRock IBIT Inflows Come from Self-Custody Users
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated that approximately 2-3% of inflows into BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) originate from users who previously utilized self-custody. While ETFs cannot replace on-chain self-custody for those prioritizing censorship resistance, they remain an attractive store of value for users focused on hedging against currency devaluation. Additionally, Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin ETF has seen zero outflows in five months, signaling strong market confidence.
