Tether Launches Open-Source AI Translation Models for African and European Languages

Tether AI Research has released the QVAC TranslatePsy series, a collection of open-source AI translation models supporting 19 African and 9 European languages. These models are designed for local, offline execution on devices like smartphones and laptops, ensuring data privacy. The models are available on Hugging Face and have been accepted by the EMNLP 2026 conference.
