A-Share Market Sees 25.21 Million New Accounts in First Eight Months of 2026

Data from the Shanghai Stock Exchange shows that 2.3973 million new A-share accounts were opened in August 2026, a 10% decrease compared to August 2025. However, the cumulative total for the first eight months of 2026 reached 25.214 million, representing a 46% year-on-year increase.
