21 Global Financial Institutions Including Goldman Sachs and Citi to Launch USD Stablecoin in 2027

A consortium of 21 global financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Citi, and Bank of America, plans to form a new company in the second half of 2026 to issue a USD-pegged stablecoin. The official launch of the stablecoin is targeted for the first half of 2027.
