UK National Crime Agency freezes assets of NFT platform Sorare
The UK National Crime Agency (NCA) has frozen assets belonging to the NFT fantasy sports platform Sorare as part of an ongoing investigation into a cryptocurrency fraud case. Authorities seized approximately £1 million ($1.27 million) in cash from a London bank office, alleging the funds were linked to money laundering and a criminal group targeting victims of a Binance hack. The NCA stated that investigation leads connect some of the funds to an anonymous hacker known as Safeline, who is allegedly involved in the theft of roughly $580 million from Binance.
