Six Dormant Bitcoin Wallets Move $40 Million in Assets

According to Galaxy Research, six Bitcoin wallets that had been inactive since 2011-2014 transferred 553.59 BTC, worth approximately $40 million, between August 16 and 26. One of these wallets had remained dormant for over 15 years. While the activity sparked concerns regarding potential sell-offs, Galaxy Digital research head Alex Thorn noted that on-chain activity for dormant Bitcoin has reached its lowest level since Q3 2022. Most of the funds were moved to addresses not associated with known exchanges, with the exception of 40 BTC sent to Boerse Stuttga
