SK Hynix CEO Predicts Memory Chip Shortage Through 2030

SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-Jung stated that the global memory chip shortage is expected to persist until the end of 2030, with a low risk of oversupply. He emphasized that in the AI era, memory chips are no longer treated as mere commodities, and demand from AI clients remains robust. As a key supplier to Nvidia, SK Hynix remains open to further investment in the U.S. following the launch of its HBM packaging plant in Indiana.
