SK Group to Sell 49% Stake in Ulsan AI Data Center to KKR and Others
SK Group plans to divest a 49% stake in its AI data center located in Ulsan, South Korea, to private equity firms. SK Telecom and SK Broadband are expected to approve the deal during their board meetings on August 27. KKR will acquire a 29% stake, while a consortium consisting of IMM Investment and Stonebridge Capital will purchase the remaining 20%. The transaction is valued at approximately 3 trillion KRW, which includes a capital increase of about 1.2 trillion KRW.
