Semiconductor manufacturer Kioxia has clarified that recent reports regarding a 1 trillion yen investment for a new manufacturing facility in Iwate Prefecture were not officially announced by the company. The reports had suggested the expansion was intended to meet the surging demand for NAND flash memory driven by the growth of AI.
