Connecticut Sues Kalshi, Highlighting Regulatory Inconsistencies in Prediction Markets

Connecticut has filed a lawsuit against the prediction market platform Kalshi, demanding an immediate cessation of its operations within the state. Jovy Dedaj, head of litigation at Kalshi, noted that the state has not taken similar enforcement actions against other prediction markets currently operating in the region. Dedaj argued that this selective enforcement suggests the move is not solely driven by consumer protection concerns, but rather highlights broader jurisdictional conflicts between state-level gambling regulations and federal oversight framewo
