Solana has initiated efforts to achieve sub-second transaction speeds by shortening block confirmation times across its network. During Epoch 1021, the network recorded an average block spacing of 365.4ms with a skip rate of 0.077%. While the target of 300ms block times is still under development, these metrics represent a significant step toward improving overall network performance.
