ECB Board Member Assures High Privacy Standards for Digital Euro

Piero Cipollone, a member of the European Central Bank's Executive Board, stated that the digital euro is designed to provide the highest possible level of privacy. He clarified that the Eurosystem will not have the capability to link specific transactions to individual users, although commercial banks processing these payments will retain access to necessary transaction data.
