Lighter Reduces Average Block Proof Time from 5.3 Minutes to Approximately 1 Minute

Decentralized perpetual contract protocol Lighter has reduced its average block proof time from 5.3 minutes to about 1 minute over the past month. This improvement was achieved through two major optimizations: the decomposition of Heavy/Light circuits and backend prover enhancements developed in partnership with Eigen Labs. Additionally, batching Schnorr signature verifications into Plonky3 proofs contributed to a 20% performance gain.
