Attacker Nets Only $60,000 After $50 Million NES Exploit
Bubblemaps reported that an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the Cosmos EVM shared module to steal $50 million worth of NES tokens. The attacker, who initially spent $250,000 to purchase NES, used the exploit to inflate their balance 200-fold. However, due to severe slippage caused by low liquidity, the attacker only managed to net approximately $60,000 in profit after spending $255,000 on the attack. Bubblemaps noted that this incident appears distinct from a separate $1.4 million exploit on another Cosmos EVM chain.
